INDEPENDENCE DAY FEST — The El Paso Youth Symphony, directed by Maestro Phillip Gabriel Garcia, and Vista Hills Rotary Club host a festival and performance noon to 11 p.m. Friday, July 3, at the Vista Hills Country Club, 2210 Trawood, featuring a “beach party” at the pool, barbecue buffet and jumping balloon. El Paso Youth Symphony Orchestra and Flashback will perform their “Sgt. Pepper’s Beatles” Show in the evening. Fireworks accompanied by patriotic songs by the orchestra are at 9 p.m. Tickets: $20 ($10 age 12 and younger) in advance; $15 ($12 age 12 and younger) at the door.
