Hope and Anchor invites you to put your chef’s hat on and enter our first annual Chili Cook-off that will take place Sunday, December 20th at 3 p.m. The idea is simple: register at the bar (two categories: herbivore and carnivore) and show up with your famous chili. Proceeds from the cook-off go to local charities. 1st place winners will receive $100 cash, 2nd place winners will receive $50 cash.

Don’t have what it takes? Come on down anyway and tease your tastebuds. Besides we’ll be raffling off a whole bunch of goodies!

“It's important to us to give back to the community here in El Paso, obviously it's a little more evident this time of year. We wanted to have some fun in the process of raising money so we decided on having a chili cook off with all the proceeds going to local charities. We will also be having a raffle with some prizes generously donated from Trend Society and Ripe restaurant to name a few,” said Hope and Anchor co-owner Jim Ward.

General Rules:
• $10 fee due at registration (one fee, participants are welcome to enter one or both categories)
• Registration deadline is Friday, December 18th
• Participants must be at least 21 yrs of age
• Participants must arrive by 2:30p to set up their chili
• Participants are responsible for keeping their chili warm
• Hope and Anchor will provide sample serving cups and spoons
• Event begins at 3 p.m. sharp
