2007 Justin Vineyards and Winery Paso Robles Sauvignon Blanc

I chose this wine because it is the perfect wine for the scorching days and nights of July here in El Paso. A 100 percent Sauvignon Blanc, this wine has a light, pale green color with hints of straw. Its aroma is tropical in nature, including pineapple and citrus fruits.

The wine is very soft for a sauvignon blanc. As it enters your mouth, you immediately taste the layers of its tropical and herbal characteristics. The wine then allows you a bright fresh acidity that is slightly creamy. The finish is clean and crisp and quite refreshing for those dog days of summer.

The 2007 Justin Sauvignon Blanc is available by the glass this month here at Café Central and by the bottle at other retailers in El Paso.
