2004 David Bruce Santa Lucia Highlands Pinot Noir

This vintage is made of 100 percent Tondre Grapefield grapes. The area where this wine is grown runs north to south and opens onto Monterey Bay. The summer sun heats the valley and the rising air draws foggy ocean air to the area, creating a cooling blanket over the vineyards. This adds to the growing season, allowing extra hanging time. In turn, the deep fruit flavors of dark cherry, plum and blackberry with a hint of cinnamon have a chance to intensify.

The nose on the wine is that of classic dark fruits with the addition of cherry and a bit of cranberry.
This wine as well as other quality Pinot Noirs, is food-friendly wine and will complement your holiday feast, no matter what you serve.

The 2004 David Bruce Santa Lucia Highlands Pinot Noir is available at Café Central daily as well as for Thanksgiving dinner, and also at other local wine shops. Salud and happy holidays!
