D.H. Lescombes, 2007 Limited Release Renaissance
This wine is made of 30 percent Syrah, 30 percent Mourvedre, 20 percent Grenache and 20 percent Cinsault. The winery is located in Deming with its vineyards just west of Deming. This is a superb wine with great complexity that will complement any holiday dinner.
In the beginning, the aroma lends itself to that of dark berries like blackberries and ripe raspberries. There is also a hint of the New Mexico desert. The wine’s mouthfeel is that of rich velvet, and you really get to taste the rich complexity of these four wonderful grapes. The way these grapes have been blended together in this wine is an exceptional example of great winemaking.
The 2007 D.H. Lescombes, Limited Release Renaissance is available at Café Central and at www.southwestwines.com.
