February is now upon us and I have found a wine that is perfect for sharing with that special person, your Valentine!
This month’s wine selection is 2007 Layer Cake Cabernet Sauvignon, which is created by Jason Woodbridge, the brilliant mind behind One Hundred Acre Cabernet Sauvignon.

A blend of cabernet fruit from a number of eastern Napa Valley hillside vineyards, this wine is a classically structured cabernet sauvignon. It has a beautiful deep garnet color with aromas of blackberry, cassis, violets and a bit of pencil lead. The mouth feel is that of lush cream with a soft, long, lingering finish. Blackberry is predominant on the palate with a mingling of chocolate and coffee flavors.

I would recommend this wine with roasted meats or any well-marbled, thick steak.
The 2007 Layer Cake Cabernet Sauvignon is available here at Café Central and other fine wine retailers like World Market and The Greenery.
May cupid strike you this month of love!
