Dón Camarón Seafood This small shrimp shack located in the middle of a parking lot doesn’t look like much but it serves some of the freshest shell fish and seafood ceviche in town. The menu offers shrimp served half a dozen ways that includes such treats as a shrimp and octopus cocktail; shrimp served on a cucumber half with fresh cilantro and chile, or the seafood tostada that comes on its own crunchy, edible ‘plate’. No bar.

La Isla Mariscos This unassuming café serves the freshest fish available. It’s not fancy, but the food is oh-so-good. Spicy shrimp ceviche comes with steaming corn tortillas and is perfectly accented with an ice cold michelada. The Mariscada Caliente is a seafood platter for two that’s loaded with octopus, calamari and shrimp, surrounding a grilled catch-of-the day. Everything tastes like it was pulled from the ocean minutes before landing on your plate. Beer and wine.

Pelican’s Restaurant – Westside Freshly steamed crab legs, lobster tails and mussels are king here, but there’s also an interesting array of fish without shells. The grilled mahi-mahi is rich with a perfect texture and the redfish comes with a tomatoe sauce that perfectly compliments its mild flavor. Salads are topped with lots of crisp vegetables and are served with freshly baked wheat bread. Full bar.

Pelican’s Restaurant Try a tropical drink topped with a tiny, bright umbrella and the freshly steamed Alaskan King crab legs. Meat-eaters will appreciate the slow-roasted prime rib and perfectly-baked potato. Daily fish specials round out the menu and don’t forget to eat your greens – Pelican’s famous salad comes in a large wooden bowl that’s barely big enough to hold the crunchy lettuce, broccoli florets, carrot sticks, whole green onions and cauliflower. Top it all off with a zesty and not-too-sweet key lime pie.
